Mike, just want to make sure, am I reading the rule correctly in true street. Any rear suspension is ok? As long as the factory frame rails are there? So a 4-link is ok?

Can I run in True street? Have Stock rear frame rails(notched), ladder bars, 28 x 10.5" slicks, all lights work, all oem glass, just have to remove wheelie bars & add mufflers.
Thanks, Sam Vincent

Sam, As long as you meet all the rules...you're good to go. It's hard to address everyone's questions on e-mail without seeing the car. The things you mentioned are fine. so long as the frame rails are notched and not sectioned, no bare tinwork, OEM style trans, etc......no min weight ....we'd be glad to have you. Rick Robinson Tech-VFN shootout Not sure what sectioned frame rails look like. They are notched on the outside to the inside(inside portion of frame rail never touched), run powerglide trans. I have one decal on the lower front bumpercover

what is considered notched? are you letting cars in that are notched so that only the inside frame is left in place i think you need to make this clear as if you are letting these cars in I think alot of the truestreet cars that are true street cars will not come.

I am not the tech guy, but notched frame rails are as you described you remove material from the frame (frame must still be in stock location) so long as the backside of the frame is untouched. Sectioned frame is when you literally cut the rear section of the frame off, remove material from the crossmembers to narrow it weld it back together then weld it back into the car. Basicly it would be like "backhalfing" your stock frame, that is not considered legal.

Doug is 100% correct on his explanation of what's notched vs. sectioned......every True Street car that's running a 29.5 X 10.5 has already notched their rails. We just don't want cars that have moved an entire section of frame rail in running in True street.
See everyone Saturday!!!
